One of the things that I absolutely love about this OS is that it is really easy to install, and there is a number of different versions available for this OS type, so you are never out of options either.

RISC OS Pi

Although this one is a really old OS for Raspberry Pi, the great thing is that it has been around for some time now, and as far as my usage with this OS is concerned, it works really well. Although it might be difficult for some people to understand at first, once the installation is done, the remaining process is simple as it can get. For anyone who just bought a Raspberry Pi, this is a must have because it will give you a great experience.

Windows 10 loT Core

Not a lot of people know this but back in 1999, Microsoft built an operating system for internet of thing devices, and since Raspberry Pi is a part of those devices as well, we now have the Windows 10 loT Core. It is one of the best operating systems I have used as far as the Pi is concerned, and while it might raise some concerns over the stability, but as far as my usage is concerned, the Windows 10 IoT Core has been pretty stable.

OSMC

OSMC or Open Source Media Center is a great operating system for your Raspberry Pi that is built for those who want to do something with the media playing. It is built around Kodi Player, but don’t worry, the OS is capable of doing a lot more than just playing media. OSMC in real is a full fledged OS that works realy well, and can be installed easily. There is active support as well, so you really do not have to worry about any such issue.

Arch Linux ARM

I have already talked about the amazing Arch Linux that happens to be one of my favourite Linux distros. The Arch Linux ARM is built upon the same foundations, but the main difference here is that this one is built for ARM processors. Which means that you can run it on your Raspberry Pi as well. It runs really well, so you will not run into any issues, and all the installation instructions are available on the internet too. So, if you want the full experience do give it at ry.

If you are looking for a budget friendly, fast, and secure OS for a Raspberry Pi, then the good news is that Linutop OS, for better reasons is everything you would wish for. I can attest that this is perhaps one of the best OS for Pi out in the market. It works so elegantly, and while the interface might look a bit dated, and rough around the ages, the rest of the OS works really, really well, and without any issues either.

Pidora

The thing here is that if you have used Fedora, which happens to be an excellent Linux distro, then you may have heard about Pidora as well. Based on the same great foundations, Pidora is the perfect Raspberry OS for people who are looking to have the same great experience. It is the same ease of access and freedom that most people demand, so I can assure you that it will not create any issues for you at all. Just install it and use away.
