When it comes to OS for smart watches, Android Wear has matured a lot. It started off as a project no one was sure about, but Google has made sure to deliver an excellent experience. In this list, we will be looking at the best Android Wear apps that you can get.
Accu Weather
Accu Weather is among my favourite apps when it comes to Android, the reason why I am listing this app here is because you get a perfect chance to get the same amazing experience on your Android Wear watch. The app is free, so you will not have to worry about paying for something, and the weather information is accurately displayed, hence the name Accu Weather. The app will not disappoint you, and that is something that I can assure you.
Pulse SMS
If you have been on Android for some time, then you have to admit that you have been checking out the SMS applications to find the best one. Well, Pulse SMS is one of the best ones on the market, that is currently installed on my phone as well. The good thing is that the app is available on Android Wear as well, making managing your texts much easier than before. It is simple to use, and does not eat a lot of resources of your smartwatch either.
Run Keeper
If you like to jog a lot, and you prefer keeping track of your fitness activity, then Run Keeper is definitely a great app to get. This GPS guided app has been available on both iOS and Android for some time, and now is available on your Android Wear powered device as well, making things much easier for you, because most of the smartwatch owner do need such apps. Run Keeper works flawlessly, and is a great app to have for any fitness lover.
Uber
Yes, if you commute a lot, and you don’t happen to have your own car, then Uber is a great app that you can have on your smartphone. However, it is now possible to just get the app on your smartwatch, and you would be able to check where your Uber is, and even call an Uber straight from your smartwatch. It is the convenience that makes Uber so much popular on the Android Wear, it is almost as if the app actually belongs on this OS.
Citymapper
If you are looking for a public transit app on your phone that also doubles up as a mapping service, then I do not think any app can get close to Citymapper. It happens to be one of the most popular apps and thanks to the popularity, it is available on Android Wear, as well as all the other operating systems. The best part about the app is that it updates in real time, so you are never given data or information that has been outdated.
Wear Audio Recorder
If you are looking for a good audio recorder app for your Android Wear device, then I would suggest that you go for Wear Audio Recorder. Although, many have thought that audio recorders on a smartwatch would be counter intuitive, but the good thing is that the app works really well in all conditions, and you really do not need to worry about having to take out your phone to record, you can just do it straight from your phone. It’s that easy.
Runtastic Pro
Runtastic Pro has been around for some time, and has been the fan favourite as well. So it should not come as a surprise that I was thrilled to see the app make its way to the Android Wear as well. In all honesty, all these fitness apps truly belong on the Android Wear considering how they fit the purpose of Android Wear perfectly, and without any issue as well. Just download it and you’d be good to go without any issue whatsoever.
Find My Phone
The last app on the list is Find My Phone, and in the simplest possible way, this is the app for people who keep losing their phone within their own house every now and then. I am saying this because I am among those people. The app even has a feature that bypasses your phone’s silent mode and starts ringing the phone nonetheless. I have to be honest, the app has saved me from panicking quite a number of times, and I can’t be thankful enough.
Conclusion
If you own an Android Wear powered device, you might be looking for the best possible apps that are available. Thankfully, there are a lot of great apps that are available on the platform as compared to the old days. So much so that the entire experience on Android Wear has become much better and streamlined.
